What to put in your email

Three things let us answer properly the first time instead of writing back to ask. None of them takes long.

  1. The country you would be applying from. Spanish consulates run their own paperwork, and the one covering where you live now sets much of what your file has to contain.
  2. Who is coming with you. A partner, children, a parent you support: each person moves the income your application has to prove, and changes which documents you gather.
  3. Roughly what you live on, and where it comes from. A pension, savings, a salary from an employer abroad, work you invoice for. Estimates are fine. Nobody holds you to a figure in a first email.

There is no form on this page on purpose. An email lands in front of a person rather than in a database, and it leaves a copy in your own sent folder. Attachments behave the way they always do.
